This day was an opportunity for everyone to do their own thing. Laura, my Mom, and I did some light hiking in the morning near the Kenai NP entrance but I soon broke off to do my own more strenuous 12 mile hike to the Harding Ice Field. It was tough but in the end I got to walk on a glacier. While I was avoiding bears on the trail, Laura and Mom went shopping and had a lovely lunch in town.
