This February was my 3rd annual bikepacking trip across Catalina Island. I spent 2 nights and 3 days biking from 2 Harbors to Avalon on my fully loaded Surly ECR. The weather this year was about as perfect as could be. Cool evenings and warm afternoons. I kept my distance from the usual buffalo herds and came across some pretty darn cute baby foxes. It’s always a great weekend for self reflection, reading, and sipping tasty IPAs.
