2020 has been a busy year for Laura and I work-wise and I finally got to take off my first full week since New Years. We stayed relatively local and drove up to our favorite wine country spots. We did fancy up our typical trip with a stay at a posh hotel in Solvang called “The Landsby”. Laura and I have always enjoyed drinking cocktails in the lounge of the Landsby so it was a treat to finally actually get to stay there. Although we didn’t get to enjoy the lounge in the normal way, we did have a nice outdoor dinner at their restaurant Mad & Vin. Other highlights of the trip included beers at Islands in Carp, an 85 mile bike ride, a quick visit to Ostrichland USA just outside Buellton, and touring Lotusland, a private garden in Montecito. So many “lands” visited on this trip 🙂
