Wrigley Memorial and Botanic Garden

For the fourth year in a row, I traversed Catalina by bike with some solid camping along the way. Despite the COVID restrictions, the trip was pretty normal. Most eateries and stores were open for business and I was super happy to be able to “refuel” at the airport grill with some tasty burgers and beers. On Sunday I dropped into Avalon via Divide Road. It was a new route that took me all the way around Avalon at an elevation of about 1200 ft. Another special twist on this year’s trip involved meeting up with Laura. It was a great addition! We got to spend another 24 hours soaking up the perfect Catalina weather. We ate our way around town and made a special trip to check out the Wrigley Memorial and Botanical Garden. By the end it had us wondering why we don’t make the easy trip from San Pedro more often.
