Laura’s mother just visited us for a few days and we used the opportunity to escape to Avalon for a day. It was an ideal day with perfect weather. Laura and Anna spent most of their mid-day on a Catalina safari ride to the island’s airport while I took my bike on a ride around Divide Road. It’s a tough climb to get to the best part of the road but the views were worth it. On my ride I spotted a small fox and several hikers making their way through the Trans Catalina Trail. Laura and Anna spotted their own share of buffalo. After our respective tours, we capped the visit off with a late lunch and drinks back in Avalon.
