Beginning in early 2021, Laura and I started another ambitious remodel project. This time we tackled a bathroom. One of the oddities that came with our house when we bought it was the “toilet in the closet”. It clearly looked like a DIY project that never officially qualified as a fractional bath. However, it provided a much needed utility when outdoor entertaining. So using that as a starting point, Laura came up with a clever design that efficiently combined the “toilet in the closet” with existing space in the laundry room. Resulting in an entirely new on-suite bathroom (albeit a small one) for the guestroom. In addition to the bathroom upgrade, we ripped out the dated louver windows on the backside of the house and replaced some old wiring in the attic. The majority of the professional work was completed nearly 6 months ago but it’s only been recently that the final decorative touches came into place.
