The remainder of my Nick visit was spent near the Denver metro area. On Saturday we did a short hike to Mount Falcon but not before securing appropriate footwear for both dog and human. After the hike we rewarded our efforts with a visit to Mac Nation, an impressive mac n cheese joint with a plethora of options. Speaking of options… Denver has too many breweries. There I said it. It’s an embarrassment of riches and far too difficult to make an informed decision. I leaned on Nick’s judgement and it paid off. We hit up one brewery that exclusively brewed Czech style lagers and finished the night at a dog friendly joint with an array of tasty Belgian styles. Sunday was low key. We smoked a variety of meats in the backyard for a quick dinner just before I had to book it to the airport.
