This year’s trek though the Golden Trout Wilderness was another great one! It’s impossible to have a bad time out there. I made another solo visit over the Memorial Day weekend while Laura visited her sister in Texas. The weather was ideal albeit a little chilly in the evening. Between the day’s hiking, I logged lots of hammock time and read through the sci-fi novel “Annihilation”. It was also great to have back evening campfires after not being allowed during last year’s trip.
