After an activity filled 4th of July, we opted for a low key 5th. Rain was forecast but nothing really materialized until the evening. I once again took advantage of the morning with fantastic bike ride. This time, I stopped at The Bakery in Winter Harbor for a blueberry donut. Then explored a couple new peninsulas while on the hunt for lighthouses. I wasn’t super successful as the first one I couldn’t see from the shore and the other one was dilapidated and inaccessible. In the afternoon, Laura and I gathered provisions for dinner and that evening we cooked scallops, fresh corn, and salad for the folks. The day culminated with fine game of canasta.
