Our niece, Harper, just visited us for the first time in California! It was a series of firsts for her as a 5 year old. First airplane ride, first boat ride, first time touching the Pacific! She was accompanied by my sister and Mom and it was great to have a full house for an extended weekend. On Friday we had an ideal day in Long Beach. We started things off with a visit to the aquarium, then caught the water taxi to Alamitos Bay for lunch, and ended the afternoon splashing around in the ocean. We tried to capture that day again in Redondo a couple days later but the weather didn’t want to cooperate. I’m so grateful when family makes the effort to come see us in California. It was sad to see if end but I know its only a few months until we get another batch of house guests.
