Our “little bit” made her debut about a week earlier than expected. After a discussion with our medical team, we decided to induce Laura to kick off a marathon labor. Laura did great and Lucy was introduced to us late on the night of May 24. She came out looking a little beat up due to being turned face up but all her parts and bits were there. We stayed an additional 36 hours in the hospital to get poked, prodded, and tested. After everything checked out, we were released on Friday to go home, relax, and settle into our new normal.
