I highly anticipated this year’s holiday break. My Mom’s new house on the Guadalupe River was completed in the late summer and was prepped for months to welcome us. It did not disappoint. Laura, Lucy, and I spent two full weeks in the Texas hill country visiting family and friends. It was a relaxed rural setting that afforded us several opportunities to commune with the deer and turkeys.
