The day after Christmas, Laura and I snuck away for a 48 hour kid-free trip to Austin. We took in a hill country winery on the way to our preferred downtown hotel, The Driskill. We mostly explored familiar haunts like the Texas Chili Parlor, Kerbey Lane, the Blanton Museum, and the Draught House but also discovered a couple new gems with Comedor (mezcal bar) and Uchi (stylish sushi).
