About as quickly as we returned home from North Carolina, Laura repacked and headed to Rome with her sister. They planned this sister trip for months with the understanding that Lucy and I would be free agents during the week of Thanksgiving. So we found some reasonable flights to Texas and spent a full week bumming around at the River House. Even with a planned Thanksgiving feast, we indulged in a wide spread of foods which included but were not limited to steaks, oysters, flounder, frog legs, turkey, and pork chops. Friday served as our big family feast day with my Mom, David, and sister’s family.
