This summer’s family vacation kicked off with a classic California road trip to the greater Yosemite area. We met my folks in Coarsegold, CA and stayed in their RV for a few nights. Over 3 days we explored the national park, Bass Lake, and a nearby Indian Casino. Overall a pleasant trip. Albeit hot and crowded. Particularly the national park. Ordinarily, I love the national parks but the exceptional heat wave combined with a lack of reservation system, culminated in a less than spectacular park experience. Luckily I found much more pleasure just hanging with the family at the RV park’s pool. Also Laura and I snuck away for a night at the Chuchansi Resort for some spa treatments and gambling. By mid week, we pulled up stakes and headed out to our next destination in Napa Valley.
