Hot off my Catalina trip was a family camping trip to Ojai over the long Juneteenth weekend. Laura and I camped a couple times at Wheeler Gorge campground before Lucy but this our first visit with her in tow. She was excited sleep in a tent again and I was excited for her to play in the little creek that runs behind my preferred campsite.

Laura and Lucy actually joined me about a day after I arrived in Ojai, allowing me to do a couple solo bike trips to Carpinteria and Chief Peak. The latter was a mountain bike ride that involved a new climb route and an old decent route I had done nearly 9 years ago. It was tough and hot but definitely rewarding. At the end of the ride I met up with Laura and Lucy at Topa Topa brewing company in downtown Ojai and we slowly explored the area enjoying a local park and eating ice cream.
